Charles Goodyear was born on December 29, 1800 in New Haven, Connecticut. He died July 1, 1860. He married Clarissa Beecher. He Became a father of 6 kids. The reason why he is famous is because he invented vulcanization which is sulfur-impregnated rubber that stops rubber from melting in hot weather and stops it from freezing and keeps it strong in the winter. He discovered that in 1839. |

Goodyear now has almost 97,000 associates around the world. |
|

Goodyear also operates airships in Europe, Spirit of Europe I and Spirit of Europe II, and a Latin American blimp, The Spirit of the Americas. |
